Sparda-Bank Berlin

Sparda-Bank Berlin is more than just a bank. As a cooperative employer, we put people at the centre — their life paths, experiences, and perspectives. We offer banking for, with, and by people and shape our working world as we wish to experience it: fair, open, at eye level, and meaningful. We describe our culture as "unexpectedly human". Work means more to us than performance: it is about relationships, encounters, and joint creation. We trust in self-responsibility rather than control, collaboration instead of hierarchy, and diversity over uniformity. Every life reality counts, regardless of origin, educational background, religion, age, or identity. As an employer in a diverse region, we know many of our colleagues bring different perspectives and backgrounds. These perspectives enrich our teams, enhance our understanding of diverse life situations, and make us more sensitive in dealing with each other and our customers. Therefore, we position ourselves clearly against racism and discrimination and actively work towards an unbiased working environment. Since 2022, we have been signatories of the Diversity Charter.Diversity is not just an attitude here but a practice: through participatory processes, networks, dialogue formats, and the conscious promotion of different perspectives. This is also reflected in the positive feedback from our employees — such as multiple awards as a kununu Top Company. We are convinced: a bank is sustainable when people feel seen, secure, and effective. We work on this every day, together. We are the bank for the East and strive for attractive banking for, with, and by people.
