Head Chef (m/w/d) Bistro 09

Are you a passionate cook looking to bring your experience to a special setting? At Bistro 09, the culinary heart of the BVB community right at Signal Iduna Park, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily for guests who appreciate both local and international cuisine. For BVB Event & Catering GmbH, we are looking for a Head Chef (m/w/d) full-time (40 hours per week) at the earliest opportunity.

• Plan, coordinate, and organise the daily kitchen operations

• Lead the kitchen team, assist in hiring and onboarding new staff, and create duty rosters

• Ensure the quality of prepared dishes and monitor compliance with hygiene regulations according to the HACCP concept

• Actively participate in preparing hot and cold dishes

• Independently calculate and plan the culinary offerings and manage purchasing for Bistro 09

• Analyse the profitability of the offerings and develop the menu further in collaboration with the kitchen director

• Take responsibility for conducting inventories

• Serve as the point of contact for suppliers and internal departments

• Completed training as a cook or similar, including the Trainer Aptitude Regulation (AEVO)

• Relevant professional experience in a comparable position in the à la carte sector, ideally in system catering

• Motivation to lead a team and passion for food and the à la carte business

• Proficient with MS Office applications (e.g., Outlook) and experience with an inventory management system

• Independent, proactive, and structured working style

• High quality awareness and solution orientation

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, authentic demeanour

• High commitment, ambition, and passion

• Excellent German language skills in spoken and written form, as well as good English skills
