In the Group Accounting department, all of Berliner Wasserbetriebe's companies' accounting and valuation issues are handled. This role serves as an engaging interface between all stakeholders.
Description
What You Will Do With Us
Provide professional and disciplinary leadership of the "Financial Statements" team, comprising up to 11 members
Ensure efficient working methods and the continuous development of all team members
Oversee the preparation of monthly, interim, and annual financial statements for Berliner Wasserbetriebe and other group companies
Optimise processes in financial accounting to improve efficiency
Actively participate in financial reporting
Address inquiries from the Board, supervisory bodies, and external auditors
Advise internal stakeholders on complex commercial law issues and assess balance sheet impacts
Requirements
What You Bring
Master's degree in Business Administration specialising in Accounting and Taxation with relevant professional experience
Alternatively: Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned field with relevant professional experience and additional knowledge equivalent to a master's level education
Relevant leadership experience
Comprehensive and specialised knowledge in commercial and tax law
Excellent understanding of financial and accounting processes
Committed and respectful team player with conflict resolution skills
Resilience under stress and reliability, along with excellent communication skills
Proficient knowledge of SAP and strong MS Office skills
Strong customer orientation and service mentality
Independent and structured working style

Compensation
We offer a remuneration package in salary group 13 according to the Tarifvertrag Versorgungsbetriebe (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may be possible.
