Intro

The German Red Cross has been supporting people in need for over 150 years. At the DRK headquarters in Berlin, you'll help ensure that aid projects in disaster and crisis areas receive excellent support. We are looking for someone to join the HR team to assist in the supervision of overseas personnel and essential administrative tasks.

Description

  • Manage job postings and applications

  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process

  • Plan briefings and ensure and coordinate medical examinations

  • Process travel expense reports

  • Maintain leave overviews for delegates

  • Apply for insurance for delegates

  • Calculate contractually agreed allowances

  • Prepare presentations, evaluations, and reports

  • Organise procurement for the work area

  • Review and allocate incoming invoices

  • Assist in coordination with other specialist teams in-house

  • Enter data into systems and maintain records

  • Manage international personnel statistics

  • Handle correspondence, manage mail, and file documents

  • Cover for personnel administration/assistance when necessary

Requirements

  • Successfully completed training in business management or administration

  • Additional qualifications in HR or project management are welcomed

  • A comparable qualification is also acceptable

  • Several years of experience in a similar role is advantageous

  • Experience in humanitarian aid, development cooperation, or foreign assignments is beneficial

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Office, Teams, and Planner

  • Excellent German language skills, written and oral

  • Strong English language skills

  • Additional language skills, particularly French or Spanish, are welcome

  • Team player with flexibility, resilience, and dedication

  • Ability to understand complex contexts

  • Meticulous work approach and high quality awareness
