In our treatment plants, we ensure the professional annual cleaning of over 250 million m³ of wastewater for Berlin and the surrounding areas. Together with our skilled and administrative colleagues, we ensure proper wastewater treatment.

Description

What You'll Achieve with Us

  • Ensure plant operations as well as control and optimisation of processes, including:

  • Decision-making and definition of process engineering specifications to comply with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements in wastewater and sludge treatment

  • Creation of operating instructions for the facilities

  • Development of strategic site development concepts

  • Ensuring the proper use of the facilities

  • Drafting operating instructions and process plans in collaboration with operations

  • Taking on responsibilities as a waste management specialist under waste law

  • Supporting investment projects and optimisation

Requirements

What You Bring

  • A completed Master's degree in process engineering, environmental engineering with solid knowledge in relevant tasks

  • Alternatively: A completed Bachelor's degree in process engineering, environmental engineering with solid knowledge in relevant tasks and additional knowledge to bridge up to a Master's level of knowledge

  • Specialised knowledge of process workflows in mechanical, biological, and chemical wastewater treatment and technical equipment in the treatment plant sector

  • Thorough knowledge of business management and handling SAP

  • Experience with IT and process control systems

  • Knowledge in project management, environmental law, and occupational safety

  • Understanding of quality and risk management

  • Familiarity with waste law

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay group 12 according to the collective agreement for public utilities (TV-V). Depending on your personal qualifications, classification into a lower pay group may also be possible.
