In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pumps, and waterworks.

Description

What You Will Do With Us

  • Lead the team of pipe network specialists and foremen, as well as instruct external companies whose core task is to carry out planned and unplanned repair work on the drinking water pressure pipe network

  • Prepare work operations and plan staff deployment, taking into account the competencies of your employees, as well as the urgency and economic efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and execution of work according to applicable technical regulations in pipeline construction

  • Ensure practical vocational training at the Wuhlheide site

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or urban water management with relevant practical knowledge in the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of water distribution systems and fittings

  • Alternatively: State-certified technician in building technology with a focus on civil engineering with several years of relevant experience or equivalent qualification, e.g. supply and disposal with professional and management experience

  • Proficient in the regulations of DGUV, including extracts from DIN 4124 / WN 408 – Excavation pits and trenches, regulations on occupational safety (ArbSchG, BetrSichV, BaustellV, BGV A1 Principles of Prevention); securing of construction sites in public roads according to RSA

  • Desirable: Knowledge of the following topics: DVGW W 400 Technical Rules Water Distribution Systems Part 2: Construction and Testing, Part 3 - Operation and Maintenance, Drinking Water Ordinance, DVGW Worksheets W551

  • Strong social skills, communication skills, leadership ability, and a high level of commitment

We offer you remuneration in pay group 10 according to the collective agreement for public utility companies (TV-V). Depending on personal requirements, classification in a lower pay group is possible.
