Quality Assurance Staff Member (m/f/d)

The Block Group consists of 18 companies in the sectors of system catering, hospitality, and food production. The best-known brands are BLOCK HOUSE as a restaurant and food brand, the 5-star hotel Grand Elysée Hamburg, the premium burger brand Jim Block, and BLOCKBRÄU at Hamburg Harbour.

To guarantee our guests tender and juicy steaks of top quality, Eugen Block founded the in-house Block House Butchery GmbH in Hamburg in 1973. All of our offered meat specialities, from steaks to burgers to carpaccio, are processed at the IFS-certified Block House Butchery GmbH. We supply to national and international grocery retail, wholesale, and high-end gastronomy.

What You Can Look Forward To

• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and legal regulations, as well as continuously developing the quality assurance system

• Preparing and participating in certification audits (IFS-Food, Organic Regulation (EU) 2018/848, Halal)

• Creating and maintaining HACCP analyses and conducting verifications and validations

• Performing work in the area of specifications management

• Handling customer and supplier complaints

• Conducting regular site inspections, documenting, processing and tracking non-conformities

• Participating in internal projects

Our Expectations

• Successfully completed studies in food technology, ecotrophology, training as a food technician or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in QM/QS (preferably in a food-producing company)

• Good numerical understanding, analytical skills, and a structured, reliable, and responsible working approach

• Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of SAP is desirable

• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, additional languages welcomed

• Ability to work in a team, as well as communication and organisational talent

Salary Range: €45,000 – €62,000 p.a.
