Head of Meter Reading HE 4 (m/f/d)

In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pump stations, and waterworks.

What you will achieve with us

• Leading the meter reading team currently consisting of 15 members

• Guiding the deployment coordinators to ensure timely and complete recording of meter readings

• Advancing meter reading concepts in consideration of current legal frameworks

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Technology or Business Administration, along with relevant professional experience

• Alternatively: Certified Industrial Master, Technician, or Specialist with extensive knowledge in consumption management, environmental protection technology in water supply and disposal, building technology, heating, air conditioning, and sanitation technology with thorough understanding of fluid mechanics, control and regulation technology, and additional knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree

• Comprehensive knowledge of legal foundations such as Administrative Law, VOB, VOL, tariff law, contract law, DSGVO, Drinking Water Ordinance

• Knowledge in building, air conditioning, and heating technology

• Safety of drinking water installations DVGW certificate (DIN EN 1717, DIN 1988-100)

• Operation of water metering systems DVGW certificate (DIN 1988-200, DIN 4064 T1-5, DVGW W406 Measuring Instruments Directive)

• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP IS-U, and SD

• Driving licence class B

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay group 10 according to the Collective Agreement for Utility Companies (TV-V). Depending on the individual prerequisites, a classification in a lower pay group may also be possible.
