Head of Standpipe Service (m/f/d)

In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pump, and waterworks.

Your Responsibilities with Us

• Lead the standpipe service team, currently comprising 5 employees

• Coordinate work processes to ensure timely provision of standpipes for various events, including dealing with deposits and contracts

• Create the framework conditions to comply with all technical, hygienic, and legal standards relating to mobile drinking water supply at the current state

• Collaborate with internal departments, e.g., laboratory, and external partners, e.g., health authorities, to ensure smooth operations

• Perform complex consumption billing

• Handle customer complaints

Your Profile

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration with relevant task knowledge

• Alternatively: Certified Industrial Master, Technician or Specialist with solid experience in consumption management, environmental protection technology in water supply and disposal, building services, heating, ventilation, and sanitation technology with solid knowledge in fluid dynamics, control and regulation technology, and relevant job experience closing any knowledge gaps equivalent to a Bachelor's degree

• In-depth knowledge of legal fundamentals, especially contract law

• Extensive knowledge of drinking water installation regulations and TVO

• Driving licence class B

• Leadership skills

• Problem-solving abilities

Compensation

We offer a salary according to pay group 9 under the collective agreement for public utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may occur.
