In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pumping stations, and waterworks.

Description

Your Role with Us

  • Coordinate and ensure the maintenance of the pipe network and its fittings, as well as the repair of pipe damages with your own staff in the service area

  • Communicate with the relevant authorities and other utility administrations

  • Lead a team of technical and commercial staff, including initiating personnel development measures, necessary further training, mandatory medical examinations, and occupational safety instructions

  • Oversee and manage the required equipment, vehicles, and construction machinery

Requirements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Urban Water Management with relevant practical knowledge in the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems and fittings

  • Alternatively: Certified Technician in Construction Technology specialising in Civil Engineering with several years of relevant experience or equivalent qualification, e.g., supply and disposal with experience in management and personnel leadership

  • Class B driving licence

  • Proficient in DGUV regulations, including parts of DIN 4124 for excavation and trenches, occupational safety regulations (Arb-SchG, BetrSichV, BaustellV, BGV A1 Principles of Prevention); securing construction sites in public roads according to RSA

  • Desirable: Knowledge of the following topics: DVGW W 400 Technical Rules for Water Distribution Systems Part 2: Construction and Testing, Part 3 - Operation and Maintenance, TrinkwV, DVGW Work Sheets W551

  • Strong social skills, communication ability, leadership qualities, and high level of commitment

Required driving license

  • Car (B, BF17, BE)

We offer a salary in pay group 10 according to the Collective Agreement for Public Utilities (TV-V). Depending on your personal qualifications, classification into a lower pay group may also be possible.
