What You'll Do with Us

• Ensure the operation of wastewater treatment and associated processes in the main treatment plant

• Monitor the legal and compliant operation of the facilities

• Manage operational processes in wastewater treatment

• Optimise economic efficiency and sustainability of operational processes

• Manage investments, particularly in existing facilities while the treatment plant is operational

• Develop concepts for the technological advancement of the sites

• Oversee reporting with compliance to statutory requirements

• Review operational documentation

• Crisis management and on-call duty as well as general leadership tasks

Your Profile

• Master's degree in process engineering, environmental/energy technology, mechanical engineering or a comparable field with extensive knowledge relevant to the position

• Alternatively: Bachelor's degree in the mentioned fields with additional qualifications and relevant professional experience in a utility of critical infrastructure with comprehensive knowledge of wastewater treatment

• Specific knowledge of process operations in mechanical, biological, and chemical wastewater treatment

• Specific knowledge of technical equipment in the treatment plant sector, especially mechanical and electrical components

• Extensive leadership experience

• Strong business management skills and experience with SAP

• Experience with IT, process control, and database systems

• Skills in project, quality, and risk management

• Knowledge of environmental law and work safety

• Expertise in energy technology, climate protection, and sustainability

• Ability to analyse complex process data with various tools and make decisions based on these analyses

• Sound decision-making skills in uncertain data situations or complex scenarios considering potential risks

• Communication strength, conflict management, innovation competence, openness to change, and assertiveness

Compensation

We offer a salary in the pay group 13 according to the TV-V collective agreement for utilities. Depending on personal prerequisites, classification in a lower pay group may occur.
