We in wastewater disposal ensure the removal of wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin area to the treatment plants. We construct, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.

Description

What You Will Contribute with Us

  • Conducting inspections and condition assessments of the sewage systems within the network

  • Securing the work site against potential hazards

  • Performing visual inspections (regular, incident-related, or construction acceptance)

  • Inspecting drainage systems for structural and operational condition

  • On-site system inspection, damage identification, documentation, and initiating immediate hazard prevention measures

  • When required: Installing necessary isolation technology in sewage systems and monitoring functionality

  • Setting up and operating a bypass system

  • Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of various drainage systems

  • Monitoring traffic safety at construction sites

Requirements

Your Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as a specialist in pipe, sewer, and industrial service or as a supply and disposal technician with solid knowledge of relevant tasks

  • Alternatively: Completed vocational training as a specialist in wastewater technology with solid knowledge of relevant tasks

  • Extensive knowledge of public sewage network systems

  • Excellent software skills (e.g., UBI, geographic information systems)

  • Skills in specialised technology for operational tasks in sewage systems

  • Knowledge of environmental protection and workplace safety

  • Driver's licence Class C

  • High customer orientation, reliability, and teamwork abilities

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

Compensation

We offer you remuneration in pay group 5 according to the collective agreement for utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may also occur. Additionally, a supplement is paid according to TV-V.
