In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pumping stations, and waterworks.
Description
Your Responsibilities with Us
Conduct event-driven and condition-based inspections, maintenance on the drinking water pressure pipeline network, functional checks on fittings, and documentation of changes in the distribution network and facilities
Perform quality assurance measures in the pipeline network, ensure water samples are taken, carry out strategic network flushing using measurement technology, document and evaluate results, and derive actions
Proficient use of established IT systems, process and interpret collected data
Communicate with customers about the work to be carried out, supply restrictions, and possible complaints
Repair work on the supply network in standby cases and trench support
Requirements
What you bring:
Completed training as a plant mechanic in civil engineering
Alternatively: Completed training in a recognised apprenticeship in metalworking/supply industry
Knowledge in construction site and traffic security according to RSA 95, in urban civil engineering analogous to DIN 4124, in the DVGW worksheet 400-2 (Construction and testing of water distribution systems) and in the DVGW worksheet 400-3 (Operation and maintenance of water distribution systems)
Certificate as a specialist for water pipeline inspection (DVGW62218)
Knowledge of the fundamentals of sound propagation in water distribution systems and flushing procedures
Operation of mobile electronic data processing devices with various software solutions, such as BIM, UBI, and MapInfo, etc.
Driving licence Class C1E (If you do not have the required C/CE driving licence, we can assist you in obtaining it)
Teamwork skills, customer-oriented friendly demeanour, as well as flexibility and performance orientation
Technical understanding, problem-solving competence, and the ability to work independently
What We Offer
Compensation
We offer you a salary in pay group 6 according to the collective bargaining agreement for utility companies (TV-V). Depending on the presence of personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may also occur.
Additionally, a bonus according to TV-V will be paid.
