Description
We're looking for you! As an apprentice for Brewer/Maltster starting on 01.08.2027
Directly by the Hamburg Landungsbrücken, with a clear view of the harbour, we at BLOCKBRÄU blend traditional Hanseatic brewing with modern brewing culture. Our beer is brewed on-site and served at our bar.
Are you curious about how water, malt, hops, and yeast become a truly great beer? Then come aboard and begin your apprenticeship as a Brewer and Maltster (m/f/d) with us on 1 August 2027. You'll enjoy hands-on training in our brewpub and be part of a team with a genuine passion for brewing art and quality.
What to expect:
Learn how wort and beer are produced and processed
Manage and monitor brewing and fermentation processes
Operate modern brewing and bottling technology
Conduct quality controls and understand what quality means for our beers
Learn the proper storage and processing of our raw materials
Assist in maintaining and caring for our technical systems
Familiarise yourself with our quality, hygiene, and safety standards and implement them in daily work
What you bring:
A minimum age of 18 years
At least a good secondary school leaving certificate
An interest in technical processes and scientific contexts
Craftsmanship skills and technical understanding
An enthusiasm for communication to advise our guests effectively
Reliability, diligence, and a sense of responsibility
Team spirit, eagerness to learn, and motivation
Physical stamina – you will be actively moving around in the brewery and sometimes need to put in some physical effort
Flexibility with working hours and a willingness to occasionally work on weekends since our brewery is closely linked with the gastronomy operation
What you can look forward to:
Free Deutschlandticket
Attractive employee offers and discounts
Free meals during working hours
A varied and hands-on apprenticeship
Insights into a modern brewpub with its own production
Working in a unique location directly at the Hamburg Harbour
Personal guidance by experienced brewers
Structured training processes and fixed contacts
Good prospects of permanent employment upon successful apprenticeship completion
Individual further education and development opportunities through our Block Head College
Ready to come on board?
We look forward to receiving your application and getting to know you. Please tell us why you'd like to start your apprenticeship with us.
Come aboard and become part of our BLOCKBRÄU crew at the Hamburg Harbour!
