Building Services Engineer for Fire Protection Projects (m/f/d)

The fire protection program of Berliner Wasserbetriebe involves the fire safety renovation of all existing properties (office buildings, machinery, and industrial buildings, etc.) across all locations of Berliner Wasserbetriebe in Berlin and its surroundings, with a budget of €170 million. We are seeking support for our fire protection planning department at our site in Berlin-Mitte immediately.

Your Role at Our Company

• Execute fire protection projects across all phases, from initial assessment, planning, tendering, and site management to acceptance of trades and handover to the building operator

• Work within an in-house planning team across all trades

• Independently deliver services in accordance with HOAI LP 1-8 for heating, ventilation, and sanitation systems including fire extinguishing and smoke extraction systems

• Prepare service specifications and descriptions

• Conduct technical review and evaluation of offers

• Manage construction activities and independently oversee site supervision

Your Qualifications

• University degree (Master, Dipl.-Ing. Uni) in Supply Engineering with relevant professional experience

• Alternatively: University degree (Master, Dipl.-Ing. Uni) in Building and Energy Management, Air Conditioning, Building Services, Renewable Energy Systems, or a bachelor's degree in these fields with in-depth knowledge in planning and supervision of technical building services equipment, plus relevant professional experience

• Excellent knowledge of Berlin/Brandenburg building codes and ventilation/supply line regulations, DIN, HOAI, VOB

• Desirable: Specialist planning qualification for building services fire protection

• Proficient in MS Office, CAD, AVA programs

• Class B driving licence

• Teamwork, responsibility, self-management

Compensation

We offer remuneration according to pay group 12 under the Collective Agreement for Utility Companies (TV-V). Depending on your qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may be possible.
