Intro

In wastewater disposal, we ensure the diversion of sewage and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area to the treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure lines, and pumping stations.

Description

What You Will Do with Us

  • Conduct inspections and condition assessments of the wastewater facilities in the sewer network

  • Secure the work site against accident risks

  • Perform visual inspections (regularly, based on events, or during the approval of construction projects)

  • Inspect drainage facilities for structural and operational conditions

  • On-site facility inspection, identify damage, document it and initiate initial measures for hazard prevention

  • When required: Install necessary shut-off technology in wastewater facilities and monitor functionality

  • Establish and operate bypass pumping services

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of various drainage systems

  • Monitor traffic security at construction sites

Requirements

Your Profile

  • Completed training as a specialist in pipeline, sewer, and industrial service or as a supply and disposal technician with solid knowledge in job-relevant tasks

  • Alternatively: Completed training as a wastewater technology specialist with solid knowledge in job-relevant tasks

  • Extensive knowledge of public sewer network facilities

  • Excellent software skills (e.g., UBI, Geographic Information Systems)

  • Skills in specialised technology for operational tasks in wastewater facilities

  • Knowledge of environmental protection and occupational safety

  • Class C driver's licence

  • High customer orientation, reliability, and team ability

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay grade 5 according to the collective agreement for public utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, a lower pay grade may be applicable.

Additionally, a supplementary allowance is paid according to TV-V.
