We in wastewater management ensure the drainage of wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin area to treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.
Description
What you will achieve with us
Initiating, supporting, supervising, and finalising challenging construction projects for the renovation and maintenance of the public gravity drainage network.
Projects: repairing lines and shafts for immediate construction measures, building connection channels, constructing structures within the network, cross-media operational construction measures.
Carrying out preparatory construction measures.
On-site construction supervision activities.
Monitoring the execution and documentation of construction measures.
Reviewing and evaluating the validity of supplementary offers.
Conducting or arranging control tests.
Measurement, acceptance, billing, and archiving.
Technical guidance for sewer masons and staff in sewer construction.
Requirements
What you bring with you
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on urban water management or civil engineering, or Industrial Engineering for construction with relevant, in-depth knowledge in tasks related to the position.
Alternatively: Technician in Civil Engineering (Specialising in Civil Engineering) with additional qualification in WB-Programme Construction Management for complex projects/cross-media network construction with relevant, in-depth knowledge in duties related to the position and additional knowledge to align with a Bachelor's degree level.
Extensive experience in project management and leadership of network construction projects.
Thorough knowledge of wastewater drainage facilities from a construction, hydraulic, and operational perspective.
Required: driver's licence class B.
Business management skills.
Knowledge in construction law and road construction (VOB), environmental protection, and occupational safety.
Knowledge of the Water Resources Act and the state water law.
Basics of waste management (e.g. hazardous waste, asbestos).
Qualification according to ZTV-SA 97 and MVAS 99 for workplace safety in public traffic law.
Excellent communication skills, solution-oriented thinking, and assertiveness.

We offer remuneration in pay group 10 according to the Collective Agreement for Utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal requirements, placement in a lower pay group is also possible.
