Technician for Basin and Structure Maintenance - Southern Region (m/f/d)

In the field of sewage drainage, we ensure the transportation of wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin metropolitan area to the treatment plants. We construct, operate, and maintain our sewage channels, wastewater pressure lines, and pump stations.

What You'll Be Doing with Us

• Performing maintenance work on suction and retention chambers and resolving flow obstructions in pump stations

• Conducting cleaning tasks on intake structures and other basins and structures

• Testing the ambient atmosphere for safety using gas measurement techniques

• Providing safety measures in gas hazard areas

• Carrying out technical maintenance work on pump station equipment in gas hazard areas, including some shaft pump stations

• Inspecting mandatory inspectable systems in pump stations within gas hazard zones

• Accompanying construction measures in pump stations in gas hazard areas (disabling, gas approvals, personal safety)

What You Bring

• Completed training as a specialist in sewage technology

• Alternatively: Completed technical training as a sewer specialist worker; supply and disposal specialist; pipeline constructor; specialist in water supply or specialist in sewer, pipeline, and industrial services or systems mechanic for heating, sanitary, and air conditioning technology

• Knowledge of pump stations, environmental protection, and workplace safety

• Extensive knowledge of sewage drainage systems from an operational perspective

• Valid driving license Class C1

• Desirable: Crane training

• Physically fit, suitable for respiratory protection according to G26.3

• Teamwork ability and reliability

Compensation

We offer you remuneration in pay group 5 according to the collective agreement for utility companies (TV-V). Depending on personal prerequisites, classification in a lower pay group may also occur.

Additionally, an allowance is paid according to TV-V.
