We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer for our global cloud infrastructure team. This position supports scalable and fail-safe SaaS operations in AWS, Azure, and GCP, focusing on automation, monitoring, security, and cost control. Flexibility to work occasionally outside standard hours, such as evenings and weekends, is required to ensure smooth operations beyond usual business times. You possess solid knowledge in infrastructure troubleshooting, CI/CD processes, and a proactive approach to maintaining availability, adhering to SLAs, and managing incident responses.

Description

  • Design, maintenance, and operation of a multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Conducting design reviews with product teams; creation of high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD)

  • Development of CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodeBuild

  • Automation of infrastructure provisioning (IAC) with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation

  • Operation of Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) with Helm

  • Implementation of observability and monitoring with Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch

  • Creation of dashboards for SLA, availability, performance, and cost overview

  • Automation of deployments, blue/green releases, rollbacks, and patching workflows

  • Enforcement of security best practices: IAM policies, VPC, WAF, encryption, audit logging

  • Management of Cloud IAM across AWS Organizations, Azure AD, and GCP Cloud IAM

  • Investigation and resolution of production issues in distributed systems

  • Collaboration with application developers to enhance deployment security

  • Development and integration of state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., serverless, event-driven)

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS (primarily) and knowledge of Azure and GCP

  • Solid knowledge in Kubernetes operations (EKS, AKS, GKE)

  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation

  • Development of CI/CD pipelines: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS tools

  • Observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, native cloud logs

  • Cloud-native networking, security hardening, IAM and zero-trust architecture

  • Strong Git knowledge for infrastructure versioning and collaboration

  • Willingness to work night shifts, occasional weekends, and on-call

  • Fluent English in speaking and writing

Nice-to-Have:

  • Successful completion of vocational training and/or degree in computer science, engineering, or similar; career changers with relevant and extensive practical experience

  • Experience in the Media & Entertainment sector (e.g., DRM, watermarking, media streaming)

  • Experience with serverless/cloud-native frameworks: AWS Lambda, EventBridge, Kafka

  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms: SageMaker, Azure ML, Vertex AI

  • Familiarity with hybrid networks: AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Interconnect

  • Fluent German in speaking and writing

Soft Skills:

  • Proactive, detail-oriented troubleshooting in live production environments

  • You communicate clearly and effectively, especially during disruptions and in RCA documentation

  • Strong self-discipline and consistency in solo/on-call deployments

  • High empathy and cultural sensitivity in global collaboration across teams and time zones

  • Willingness to experiment, learn, and improve with evolving DevOps trends

Certifications:

  • Required: AWS certification at Associate or Professional level (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)

  • Preferred: Azure or GCP certifications (Fundamentals or Associate level)

  • A Kubernetes CKA or CKAD certification is a significant plus
