Wastewater Network Operations Technician (m/w/d)

We in wastewater disposal ensure that sewage and rainwater from the entire Berlin area are directed to treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.

Your Impact at Our Company

• Conducting inspections and condition assessments of the wastewater facilities in the sewer network

• Securing the worksite against potential hazards

• Performing visual inspections regularly, on special occasions, or for approval of construction projects

• Inspecting drainage systems for structural and operational conditions

• On-site facility checks, identifying damages, documenting, and initiating first measures for hazard prevention

• If required: Installing necessary shut-off technology in wastewater plants and monitoring functionality

• Establishing and operating an over-pumping system

• Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of various drainage systems

• Checking traffic safety at construction sites

Your Qualifications

• Completed training as a pipe, sewage, and industrial service specialist or as a supply and disposal technician with comprehensive knowledge relevant to the role

• Alternatively: Completed training as a wastewater technology specialist with extensive knowledge relevant to the role

• Comprehensive knowledge of public sewer network facilities

• Excellent software skills (e.g., UBI, Geographic Information Systems)

• Technical skills for operational tasks in wastewater facilities

• Knowledge of environmental protection and workplace safety

• Strong customer focus, reliability, and teamwork ability

Compensation

We offer compensation in wage group 5 according to the Utilities Agreement (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, grouping may occur in a lower wage group.

Additionally, a supplement is paid according to TV-V.
