Intro
We are looking for you for the Youth Welfare Office of the state capital Stuttgart. The position is temporary until 31.12.2027.
As an IT security specialist, you will enhance our IT department and take over the IT security of the applications, software, and specialised software products with sensitive social data used by us. These are used by around 2,000 users on approximately 1,850 PCs/notebooks.
Description
A Role That Inspires You
You support the establishment and development of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with BSI Basic Protection
You conduct needs assessments, risk and vulnerability analyses for applications specific to the Youth Welfare Office, identify appropriate security measures, and coordinate their implementation
You create security policies, concepts, and documentation for IT security, advise specialist departments, and conduct training sessions as needed
You coordinate and manage responses to IT security incidents, assess new threat situations, design preventive measures, evaluate their effectiveness, and thus effectively enhance the IT security of the IT infrastructure
You are the primary contact for the Youth Welfare Office on information security matters and inform about current IT security threats
Requirements
Your Profile That Matches Us
A completed degree in computer science, information security, business informatics, digital administration management, or a comparable university degree, each with a focus on IT security or a corresponding qualification
Alternatively, completed training in the IT field (e.g., IT specialist) with relevant work experience in IT security or other employees with equivalent skills and experience
Knowledge in information security, particularly BSI Basic Protection, Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), risk, and vulnerability management, is advantageous
A structured and independent working style, with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and convey them clearly
Strong communication and advisory skills, a good understanding of user requirements, and the ability to reconcile different technical and professional interests
