Intro
In the wastewater disposal division, we ensure the drainage of waste and rainwater from the entire Berlin urban area to the treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure lines, and pumping stations.
Description
What you will be doing with us
Supervising complex construction projects and tasks in the region
Handling regional construction tasks: resolving incidents potentially of complex nature, immediate construction, operational construction measures in the sewer network, construction of structures in the network, building connection channels, engineering measures in the sewer network, also cross-media
Ensuring the local supervision of complex construction projects for the extension, renovation, and repair of public gravity drainage and pressure pipe networks (and final road restoration)
Reviewing and assessing the validity of additional work proposals
Conducting or arranging control tests
Electronic documentation
Initiating and overseeing execution, restoration, and road surfacing
Requirements
Your qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Urban Water Management or Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering Construction with comprehensive, relevant knowledge in job-specific tasks
Alternatively: Technician in Civil Engineering (specialisation in Civil Engineering) with additional qualification WB-Programme Construction Management for complex construction projects/cross-media network construction and supplementary knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree
Extensive experience in construction management and control of network construction measures
Thorough knowledge of wastewater disposal systems from a constructional, hydraulic, and operational perspective
Required: Class B driving licence
Good business management knowledge
Knowledge in construction law and road construction (HOAI, VOB, VOL), environmental protection and occupational safety
Understanding of the Water Resources Act and the State Water Act
Fundamentals of waste management (e.g. hazardous waste, asbestos)
Qualification as an asbestos expert
Organisational and coordination skills, strong communication skills, and a high sense of responsibility
Required driving license

Compensation
We offer you a salary in accordance with pay grade 11 of the Collective Agreement for Public Sector Utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay grade may be possible.
