Our internship programme for operationally securing technical functions will support you in beginning your career in Germany. You’ll become familiar with the technical working areas of Berliner Wasserbetriebe and apply your professional experience directly in practice. Simultaneously, we will assist you in integrating professionally, linguistically, and culturally.

Description

What to Expect in Practice

During your practical days, you will work in an area that matches your qualifications, experience, and interests.

Possible tasks include:

  • Operation and monitoring of equipment

  • Maintenance and upkeep

  • Troubleshooting and fault resolution

  • Technical field deployment / network operations

  • Logistical activities

At the start, you'll get to know Berliner Wasserbetriebe at a welcome event and receive all important information for your introduction.

Throughout the programme, a designated contact person will support you in your daily work and assist you with any queries.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Technical or craft training, e.g., in electrical engineering, metalworking, environmental technology, or logistics

  • You already reside in Germany.

  • Ideally, you have German language skills at level B2.

  • A class B driving licence is advantageous but not essential.

  • In some areas, you are willing to work shifts.

  • You are keen to establish a professional foothold in Germany and further develop both professionally and linguistically.
