Intro

We in wastewater management ensure the removal of waste and rainwater from the entire Berlin metropolitan area to treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, pressure lines, and pumping stations.

Description

What you will achieve with us

  • Perform maintenance on suction and storage spaces and eliminate inflow disruptions in pumping stations

  • Conduct cleaning work on inflow structures and other basins and facilities

  • Examine the surrounding atmosphere for safety using gas technical measurements

  • Provide safety measures in gas-hazardous areas

  • Conduct technical maintenance on pumping station equipment in gas-hazardous areas and partially on shaft pumping stations

  • Inspect facilities requiring testing in the pumping station within gas-hazardous areas

  • Accompany pumping station construction projects in gas-hazardous areas (locking out, gas releases, personnel safety)

Requirements

What you bring

  • Completed training as a specialist in wastewater technology

  • Alternatively: Completed technical vocational training as a sewer worker, supply and disposal technician, pipeline constructor, water supply specialist, or industrial service technician, or as an installation mechanic for heating, sanitary, and air conditioning technology

  • Knowledge of the pumping station area, environmental protection, and occupational safety

  • Extensive knowledge of wastewater disposal systems from an operational perspective

  • Valid driving license class C1

  • Desirable: Crane training

  • Physical resilience, suitability for respiratory protection according to G26.3

  • Team spirit and reliability

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

Remuneration

We offer you remuneration in pay group 5 according to the collective agreement for utility companies (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may occur.

Additionally, an allowance is provided according to TV-V.
