Water Meter Installation Technician (m/f/d)

In water supply, we ensure the treatment and distribution of drinking water in Berlin and are responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipes, pump stations, and waterworks.

Your Impact

• Repair and maintenance of large and domestic water meters as well as replacement of water meters

• Creation of binding cost estimates after initial sizing and consultation with the operations management, including refurbishment work at the customer’s request

• Advising on complex refurbishment and maintenance measures for drinking water installations and preparing cost estimates for small to medium refurbishments

• Coordination with the operations manager regarding closures and commissioning of drinking water connections, as well as assessing and checking hygiene standards

• Monitoring the operational safety of repair vehicles

Your Profile

• Completed training as a gas and water installer or plant mechanic with solid knowledge relevant to the role

• Alternatively: Completed training in a metalworking profession with practical role-relevant knowledge

• Knowledge in PE welding

• Knowledge of site safety according to RSA

• Knowledge of DIN 1988

• Willingness to attend training courses

• Class B Driving Licence

• Willingness to lift and carry devices weighing up to 10 kg as part of the role

• Good manners, well-groomed appearance, commitment, high reliability

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay group 6 according to the Tarifvertrag Versorgungsbetriebe (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may occur. Additionally, a TV-V allowance is paid.
