Description
This is how the programme works
The internship programme runs from 01.12.2026 to 31.05.2027. For three days a week, you will work with Berliner Wasserbetriebe and get to know our work areas.
Additionally, our cooperation partner supports you with offers that facilitate your career entry in Germany. You can gain practical experience, further develop your German skills, and gradually prepare for an application at Berliner Wasserbetriebe.
What awaits you in practice
During your practical days, you'll work in a department that matches your qualifications, experience, and interests.
Possible tasks include:
Operation and monitoring of systems
Maintenance and servicing
Troubleshooting and fault repair
Technical fieldwork / network operation
Logistical activities
At the start, you will get to know Berliner Wasserbetriebe at a welcome event and receive all the important information for your start.
Throughout the entire programme, a dedicated contact person will support you in your daily work and be available to answer your questions.
Your professional perspective
With this programme, we aim to prepare you step by step for potential employment with Berliner Wasserbetriebe.
You will gain practical experience, improve your German language skills, and become familiar with our working methods.
Together, we will explore which positions suit your profile and support you on your path to an application at Berliner Wasserbetriebe.
Requirements
What you bring
Technical or craft training, e.g., in electrical engineering, metalworking, environmental technology, or logistics
You already reside in Germany.
Ideally, you have German language skills at B2 level.
A class B driver's licence is advantageous but not required.
In some areas, you are willing to work shifts.
You aim to establish a career in Germany and want to develop both technically and linguistically.
