We in the wastewater management are responsible for channeling waste and rainwater from across the entire Berlin metropolitan area to the treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipelines, and pumping stations.

Description

What you will accomplish with us

Operate specialised equipment for structural and operational maintenance tasks at wastewater facilities. This includes:

  • Driving and maintaining various vehicles with specialised equipment, particularly masonry trucks

  • In sewer maintenance: Marking and surveying work areas as well as constructing excavation pits and trenches, shoring them, and managing water control

  • Fabricating components and structures for shafts, street drains (e.g., from sewer bricks, concrete, and reinforced concrete parts)

  • Installing, connecting, or disconnecting pipes, fittings, and connecting pieces

  • Conducting paving works for covering road surfaces

Requirements

Your profile

  • Completed vocational training as a specialist in pipe, sewer, and industrial service with solid knowledge of relevant tasks

  • Alternatively: Completed technical vocational training (industrial mechanic or specialist in wastewater technology or professional driver) with solid knowledge of relevant tasks

  • Required: Class CE driving licence

  • Very good knowledge of the relevant software (e.g., UBI, GIS)

  • Knowledge of vehicle technology for operational tasks at wastewater facilities

  • Knowledge of wastewater discharge systems from an operational perspective

  • Knowledge of environmental protection and occupational safety

  • High customer orientation, strong teamwork skills, and reliability

Required driving license

  • Car (B, BF17, BE)

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay group 5 according to the collective agreement for public utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal prerequisites, classification in a lower pay group may be possible. Additionally, we provide an allowance according to TV-V.
