Intro

In wastewater management, we ensure the drainage of wastewater and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area to the treatment plants. We construct, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.

Description

What You Will Accomplish With Us

  • Perform the inspection and condition assessment of wastewater facilities within the sewer network

  • Ensure the site is secured against accident hazards

  • Conduct visual inspections (regularly, as needed, or for construction project acceptance)

  • Inspect drainage facilities for structural and operational condition

  • Conduct on-site inspections, identify damages, document them, and initiate first measures for hazard prevention

  • If needed: Install necessary shut-off technology in wastewater facilities and monitor their functionality

  • Set up and operate a bypass pumping system

  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of various drainage facilities

  • Check the traffic safety at construction sites

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Completed training as a specialist for pipe, sewer, and industrial service, or as a supply and disposal technician with thorough knowledge relevant to the position

  • Alternatively: Completed training as a wastewater technician with thorough knowledge relevant to the position

  • Extensive knowledge of public sewer network facilities

  • Excellent software skills (e.g., UBI, Geoinformation systems)

  • Skills in specialised technology for operational tasks at wastewater facilities

  • Knowledge of environmental protection and occupational safety

  • Driving license class C

  • High level of customer orientation, reliability, and teamwork skills

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

Compensation

We offer remuneration in pay group 5 according to the Collective Agreement for Supply Companies (TV-V). Depending on personal prerequisites, classification may also occur in a lower pay group.

Additionally, a bonus payment as per TV-V is provided.
