Description

What You Will Achieve With Us

  • Examine complex claims in urban civil engineering projects from formal, technical, economic, and legal perspectives

  • Develop strategic approaches for claim negotiations, execute them, and document the outcomes

  • Advise stakeholders on all issues related to claims

  • Continually improve the claim management process in collaboration with relevant departments

  • Contribute to the preparation and awarding of framework agreements

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering in Construction

  • Alternatively: Technician or Bachelor with several years of experience as a Site Manager or Estimator in urban civil engineering, with advanced knowledge in construction cost estimation, as well as in the construction of public drinking water and wastewater pressure pipelines and sewer construction; including contract law

  • Solid experience in estimating civil engineering projects, especially in urban water supply, wastewater pressure pipelines, and sewer construction, with comprehensive knowledge in construction costing, contract and procurement law, as well as relevant standards (e.g., DIN, EN, DVGW, DWA, VOB, HOAI)

  • Broad understanding of civil engineering principles and the technical and legal requirements in civil engineering

  • Proficiency in MS Office and software for costing, tendering, awarding, and procurement (e.g., AVA programs, ASS, eProcurement Management, and SAP MM)

  • Negotiation skills, analytical ability, strategic and cross-functional thinking and action

  • Excellent communication skills and assertiveness

Compensation

We offer remuneration according to salary group 12 under the Collective Agreement for Utility Companies (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification into a lower salary group is possible.
