Intro

In wastewater disposal, we ensure the drainage of sewage and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area to treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.

Description

What You'll Be Doing With Us

  • Perform maintenance work on suction and retention rooms and eliminate inflow obstructions in pumping stations

  • Carry out cleaning tasks on inflow structures and other pools and buildings

  • Check the ambient atmosphere for safety using gas technical measurements

  • Ensure safety measures in gas-hazardous areas

  • Perform technical maintenance on pumping station systems in gas-hazardous areas and partially on shaft pumping stations

  • Inspect legally required installations in pumping stations in gas-hazardous areas

  • Assist with pumping station construction measures in gas-hazardous areas (isolating, gas releases, personnel security)

Requirements

Your Profile

  • Completed training as a specialist for wastewater technology

  • Alternatively: completed technical training as a sewer specialist, supply and disposal technician, pipeline constructor, water supply specialist, sewer, pipe, and industrial service technician, or systems mechanic for heating, sanitation, and climate technology

  • Knowledge of pumping station areas, environmental protection, and occupational safety

  • Extensive knowledge of systems for wastewater drainage from an operational perspective

  • Required: Valid Class C1 driving licence

  • Desired: Crane training

  • Physical endurance, and suitability for respiratory protection according to G26.3

  • Teamwork and reliability

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

Compensation

We offer you remuneration in pay group 5 according to the Collective Agreement for Public Utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal prerequisites, classification in a lower pay group is also possible. Additionally, a supplement payment according to TV-V is provided.
