We're seeking an experienced Grid Connection Expert to join our dynamic team. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and optimising the grid integration of our cutting-edge solar and battery storage power plants, ensuring compliance, stability, and innovation.
What You'll Do:
- Design & Plan Grid Connections: Lead the conceptualisation, planning, and design of grid connection solutions for large-scale solar and battery storage projects.
- Ensure Compliance: Guarantee that all grid connection designs adhere to relevant national and international norms and standards, including VDE-AR-N 41xx and TABs.
- Network Analysis & Optimisation: Conduct comprehensive analyses of medium and high-voltage grids, assessing protection concepts and optimising grid integration strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key technical interface and negotiator with grid operators, authorities, and other external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Substation & HV/MV Expertise: Provide expert technical input and oversight for high and medium-voltage technology aspects, including the construction of substations.
- Simulation & Testing: Utilise or oversee grid simulations to validate designs and predict network behaviour, contributing to robust and reliable connections.
- Documentation & Reporting: Develop and manage comprehensive technical documentation related to grid connection agreements and project specifications.
What You Bring:
- Education: A completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in the field of grid connections for renewable energy projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Profound knowledge of medium and high-voltage grids and protection concepts.
- Solid experience with grid connection standards (e.g., VDE-AR-N 41xx, TABs).
- Strong understanding of high and medium-voltage technology and substation construction.
- Experience with grid simulations is a distinct advantage.
- Switching authorisation is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and conceptual abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly in interactions with grid operators and key stakeholders.
- High level of self-initiative and a structured, organised approach to work.
- Languages: Fluent spoken and written German and English.
- Miscellaneous: A valid Class B driving licence.
