Intro

If you already have completed training from your home country, wish to restart your career, and want to improve your German language skills, we will prepare you for your entry at Deutsche Bahn together.

We are looking for you to start as soon as possible as an Electronics Technician in Control and Safety Technology (m/f/d) in Munich or Rosenheim with the aim of qualifying as a Signal Mechanic and a prior B2 language course.

Initially, you will participate in a 10-week language qualification course on site in Munich. If your place of residence is more than 90 minutes away, accommodation will be provided during the qualification period. There, you will improve your German from B1 to B2 level.

Upon successful completion of the language qualification, the professional qualification for full recognition of your professional training will follow at a qualification centre in Ditzingen and at your future deployment location.

Then you will start as an Electronics Technician in Control and Safety Technology and go through our professional qualification programme to become a Signal Mechanic.

Description

  • First, you will take a B2 language course with an exam

  • You will learn the basics of railways and important technical terms during the qualification phase

  • You will work with electronic components such as signals and switches – you'll also become familiar with the mechanical parts

  • At your location, you will test and maintain various control and safety technology systems

  • You will manage electrical systems both indoor and outdoor, with a focus on outdoor

  • You will resolve disruptions in track systems and document your findings

  • From your base, you will collect materials, equipment, and your vehicle to reach operational sites

Requirements

  • You have completed relevant training, for example as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Automation Technology, Electrical Installation Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or a degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Your training is partially recognised in Germany – we will assist you to achieve full recognition

  • Experience in the field of electronics is advantageous but not mandatory

  • German language skills at B1 level are ideal. However, you can apply with A2 level, and we will determine the way forward together

  • You either have a German Category B driving licence or are willing to convert your existing licence

  • You don't mind working outdoors, and you are reliable, team-oriented, and flexible

  • After onboarding, you will be ready for on-call duty, including weekends and occasionally at night

  • You are highly motivated to improve your language and technical skills

Required driving license

  • Car (B, BF17, BE)
