Intro

If you have already completed training in your home country, want to restart your career, and aim to improve your German language skills, we will prepare you for your start at Deutsche Bahn.

We are looking for you to join us as an Electronics Technician for Control and Safety Technology (m/f/d) in Großkorbetha or Halle (Saale) at the earliest possible date with the aim of qualifying as a Signal Mechanic and completing a prior B2 language course.

Upon successful completion of the language qualification, technical qualification will follow for the full recognition of your occupational qualification at a qualification centre. You will then start as an Electronics Technician in the Control and Safety Technology division, undergoing our technical qualification program to become a Signal Mechanic.

Description

  • First, you will complete a B2 language course with examination

  • In the qualification phase, you will learn the basics of railways and important technical terminology

  • You will work with electronic components such as signals and switches – you'll also become familiar with mechanical parts

  • At your location, you will inspect and maintain various control and safety systems

  • You will manage electrical systems both indoors and outdoors, particularly outside

  • You will rectify malfunctions in route systems and write reports on them

  • You will collect materials, equipment, and your vehicle from your base and travel to different sites

Requirements

  • You bring relevant training, for example as an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering, Automation Technology, Electrical Installer, Mechatronics Technician, or a degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Your training is already partly recognized in Germany – we assist you in achieving full recognition

  • Experience in electronics is an advantage but not a must

  • German language skills at level B1 are good. Applications with A2 level are welcome – we will find a path forward together

  • You already have a German Class B driving licence, or are willing to convert your current licence

  • You are comfortable working outdoors, and are always reliable, team-oriented, and flexible

  • After the onboarding phase, you are ready for on-call duty, including weekends and occasionally at night

  • You are highly motivated to learn both linguistically and technically

Required driving license

  • Car (B, BF17, BE)
