Intro

The computing centre at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich is the central service provider and strategic partner for the IT supply in teaching, research, and administration. It continuously develops the central IT infrastructure and supports the digitalisation of university processes. We are looking for a Scientific Assistant in full or part-time, initially limited to three years. Academic advancement with the aim of obtaining a doctorate is encouraged.

Description

  • Participate in scientific and technical projects at the computing centre

  • Design, develop and evaluate modern IT and communication solutions

  • Analyse, document and optimise existing IT processes and services

  • Co-develop innovative concepts in IT infrastructure, digitalisation, and information management

  • Create scientific contributions and documentation

  • Independently work on a doctoral topic related to the computing centre

Requirements

  • Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics or similar

  • Knowledge in IT infrastructures, IT services, digitalisation or IT security is an advantage

  • Experience with scientific methods and technical documentation is desirable

  • Familiarity with open source technologies, automation or web-based applications is beneficial

  • Initiative, structured and careful working style

  • Teamwork skills and strong communication skills

  • Interest in new technologies and scientific issues
