Principal Engineer (m/f/d) – Structural Planning

Your Future Responsibilities:

• Technical leadership and organisation of the engineering team in daily operations as well as efficient management of resources and work tasks.
• Development of economical, standard-compliant, and high-quality structural solutions considering current technical standards.
• Creation and review of complex static calculations, structural concepts, and project-specific special solutions.
• Independent handling of complex projects along with coordination and monitoring of technical project execution.
• Professional guidance, onboarding, and development of entry-level professionals, designers, and experienced engineers.
• Promotion of technical innovations, development of standards and processes, and implementation of continuous improvement measures.
• Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Maintenance of complete and comprehensible technical project documentation.
• Building and maintaining trusting cooperation with colleagues, clients, and external project participants.
• Consideration of technical, economic, contractual, and legal frameworks in engineering decisions.

Our Requirements for You:

• Successfully completed degree in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on structural engineering or structural planning, or a comparable qualification.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in structural planning post-degree.
• Ideally proven professional qualification or membership in an engineering chamber or relevant professional association.
• Valid driving licence, class B.
• Extensive experience in structural planning and solid knowledge in geotechnics.
• Very good knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and legal regulations (including Eurocodes, DIN standards, and state building laws) as well as occupational health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to successfully engage different stakeholders and collaborate across departments.
• Ability to independently manage complex technical tasks while providing professional support and development to colleagues.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented working approach with sound judgement.
• High quality standards, responsibility, and commitment to continuous improvement and strong customer orientation.
