Import Assistant (m/f/d) Part-Time

The Block Group consists of 18 companies in the sectors of system gastronomy, hospitality, and food production. The most well-known brands are BLOCK HOUSE as a restaurant and food brand, the 5-star Grand Elysée Hotel Hamburg, the premium burger brand Jim Block, and BLOCKBRÄU at Hamburg Harbour. To ensure we serve our guests tender and juicy steaks of top quality, Eugen Block founded Block House Fleischerei GmbH in Hamburg in 1973. In our IFS-certified butchery, a wide range of meat specialties are processed, from steaks to burgers to carpaccio. We supply national and international food retail, food wholesale, and upscale gastronomy. To support our purchasing team, we are looking for a reliable and structured assistant in the import sector. In this role, you will support the smooth handling of our international goods imports and ensure careful processing of all relevant documents and procedures.

What we look forward to

• Support in import processing

• Checking import documents for accuracy and completeness

• Communication and coordination with authorities and application for necessary licenses

• Creation of container calculations

• Goods receipt and invoice verification, as well as corresponding bookings

• Organisation and tracking of logistical processes at the destination

• Monitoring of delivery dates and tracking missing documents

• Maintenance and management of import-relevant data and documents

Our expectations

• Successfully completed commercial training, ideally in forwarding, logistics, wholesale, and foreign trade or similar

• Initial experience in import processing is advantageous

• Proficient use of MS Office

• SAP knowledge is desirable

• Good German skills and secure written English skills for correspondence with international suppliers

• Numerical understanding and commercial thinking

• Structured, careful, and precise working method

• Organisational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple processes

• Strong communication skills and team capability

• High sense of responsibility and reliability
