Description
The parliamentary group “Die Linke in the Bundestag” is looking to fill, at the earliest possible date, a position at the Berlin office
for a Full-time IT Administrator (f/m/d) (39 hours per week).
Job Description:
- Administration, maintenance (occasionally outside regular working hours), and optimisation of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, clients)
- System monitoring: proactive oversight of servers, services, and networks; patch and update management: systematic planning and implementation of patches across the entire infrastructure
- License management: management and documentation of software licenses, monitoring
- Endpoint/client management: centralised management via MDM or tools like ManageEngine Endpoint Central
- Escalation management: coordination and forwarding to third-party providers or manufacturer support, structured transition from first-level support
- IT procurement: evaluation and recommendation of hardware and software, and collaboration with purchasing
- Email security: mail gateway, certificate management
- Disaster recovery/emergency plans and their regular testing
- Support and further development of IT security measures
- User support with technical questions and issues
- Managing and maintaining user accounts and access rights (Active Directory, Exchange, etc.)
- Installation, configuration, and updating of software and operating systems
- Collaboration with the IT department of the German Bundestag for the introduction of new digital tools and technologies into the parliamentary group structures
- Planning and implementation of backup strategies for the parliamentary group's server-side infrastructure
- Creation and continuous maintenance of the group's own databases
- Creation and maintenance of documentation and IT policies
- Preparation and delivery of internal IT training
We Expect:
- Completed academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent expertise
- Experience in Windows and Linux server administration
- Knowledge of network technologies, IT security, and virtualisation
- Experience with cloud services and groupware solutions is advantageous
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style
- Teamwork skills, commitment, and reliability
- Flexibility in working hours and high motivation, initiative, and sense of responsibility
Identification with the political goals of the parliamentary group Die Linke in the Bundestag is expected.
Offered:
- a fixed-term employment contract for the duration of the 21st legislative period;
- a full-time position with regular weekly working hours of 39.0 hours;
- remuneration similar to TVöD/Bund (comparable to EG 13).
