In the Finance Department, you will ensure the management can base their strategic decisions on reliable figures.
We are looking for you at the earliest opportunity, full-time (40 hours per week). Borussia Dortmund is a publicly listed company with over 900 employees and nine subsidiaries.
Description
• Develop realistic and actionable budget plans in close coordination with departments
• Continuously monitor budget adherence, analyse deviations, and derive and communicate concrete action options and savings potentials
• Regularly create reports on budget development
• Collaborate on the licensing procedures of the Bundesliga and UEFA, handling defined sections
• Participate in financial forecasts, projections, and scenario analyses, and create short-term ad-hoc reports
• Continuously develop and improve existing reporting structures and processes
Requirements
• Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Controlling or a similar qualification
• Relevant professional experience in Controlling, ideally in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting according to HGB and IFRS
• Extensive practical experience with ERP systems, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience with BI tools; knowledge in independent creation of reports and dashboards is an advantage
• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel
• Experience with AI applications or AI-supported analytical tools is desirable
• Strong analytical thinking, high numerical understanding, as well as a structured and independent working style
• Strong communication skills and a friendly and confident manner with various stakeholders
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• Fluent communication in German and English
