Channel Mason (m/f/d)

In wastewater management, we ensure the removal of sewage and stormwater from the entire Berlin area to the treatment plants. We build, operate and maintain our channels, wastewater pressure pipes and pumping stations.

What you will do with us

Utilising specialised equipment (e.g. asphalt cooker, circular cutting machine) in drainage systems for maintenance. This includes tasks such as:

• Performing demolition and chiselling work at the damage site

• Removal and installation of safety steps in access shafts (combined, stormwater and sewage systems)

• Constructing shaft masonry for repair

• Installing and adjusting shaft bases and edges

• Adjusting and renewing manhole covers and street drains

• Executing paving and surface sealing works

• Repairing walkable channels

• Securing construction sites in traffic areas

Your profile

• Completed training as a sewer constructor with solid knowledge in relevant tasks, or a civil engineering specialist focused on sewer construction

• Alternatively: Completed training as a construction worker or road construction worker with solid knowledge in relevant tasks

• Knowledge of wastewater disposal systems

• Knowledge of paving and surface sealing works

• Extensive knowledge in civil and sewer construction and in securing work sites

• Familiarity with relevant software (e.g. UBI, Geoinformation system)

• Required: Class CE driving licence

• High customer orientation, strong teamwork skills and reliability

Payment

We offer you a remuneration in pay group 6 according to the collective agreement for utility companies (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification may also occur in a lower pay group.

Additionally, a supplement is paid according to TV-V.

To facilitate your transition into wastewater-specific knowledge, we offer an internal training measure.
