We are seeking you for our team at the Verden branch as a Construction Technician at the earliest opportunity. The position is permanent.

You take on the execution planning for maintenance, new construction, as well as conversion and expansion measures on traffic facilities and engineering structures, such as retaining walls or intersecting structures.
You accompany contractors, monitor the construction execution, and check warranty claims for engineering and construction services.
You prepare tender documents and carry out the awarding of traffic construction measures.
You review and evaluate offers technically and document the contract data.

Degree as a certified technician in civil engineering or comparable skills, qualifications, and experience.
Good knowledge of technical guidelines like RSA, ASR, and VOB.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (at least level C1).
A valid Class B driving licence.
Preferred: several years of professional experience in the implementation of road construction projects, preferably in the motorway sector.
Preferred: good user knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP.
An engaged, reliable, responsible, and independent working style.
Enjoyment of working in a team.
Strong social and communication skills.
High resilience, decisiveness, and commitment.

Founded in 2018, Autobahn GmbH of the Federal Government has been responsible since 1 January 2021 for the planning, construction, operation, traffic management, maintenance, financing, and asset management of the motorways and highways in Germany. With 13,200 kilometres of motorway, the organisation is one of the largest infrastructure operators in Germany. Thanks to a central organisation combined with regional and local expertise, the best is achieved for a high-performing traffic network. For the first time, the entire network can be focused on, setting uniform standards nationwide. This enables the realisation of innovative and sustainable mobility projects that are equally important for society and the economy, in line with the motto 'Sustainably shaping the mobility of the future'. This challenging task involves a wide variety of topics.
