Surgical Technologist

Working at Charité For the operating theatres in the areas of general surgery, vascular surgery, and urology at Charité Campus Benjamin Franklin, we are looking to fill the varied and exciting position of Surgical Technologist or Nursing Professional in the operating theatre service at Campus Benjamin Franklin. In this role, you will be the key to ensuring smooth operations in the theatre. The use of the latest technology in operating rooms, as well as specialized procedures such as surgical robots (da Vinci), urogynecology, laser procedures, state-of-the-art endovascular vascular surgery, and aortic surgery characterize these specialisations in the operating theatre.

Overview of the Position

• You are responsible for the proper preparation and follow-up of surgical procedures, including instrumenting and assisting during surgeries
• You work with a multi-professional team both on stage and behind the scenes to ensure seamless operations
• You provide appropriate aftercare for patients
• Your expertise contributes to our high hygiene standards
• You support the assurance of process quality and document care-related data

This is What We're Looking For

• You have completed training as a Surgical Technologist or Nursing Professional
• You are reliable, independent, and have high empathy
• You have an interest in high-performance university medicine and innovative, state-of-the-art intraoperative procedures
• You find innovative surgical procedures exciting and are eager to further your education in this field
• You understand patients' situations and respond empathetically to their needs
• You enjoy working closely and trustfully with all those involved in the procedure
• You actively contribute to the development of work structures and processes
• You are willing to work regular weekend and holiday shifts
