About Us

Mission of Atmosfair

To achieve the Paris climate protection goals, companies worldwide need to transform. Supporting them with tailored concepts, calculations, and tools is a task undertaken by Atmosfair.

As a non-profit climate protection company, our main business is CO₂ compensation through the development of our own renewable energy projects in the Global South. This also includes consulting companies as well as creating specialised software. Our office in Berlin-Neukölln with 40 employees, along with our country managers and partner companies in Europe, Asia, and Africa, establish the basis for successful climate protection and securing our status as a quality market leader. Atmosfair is supported by an advisory board with representatives from environmental NGOs and the BMUV, prominent patrons from politics and science, and notable supporters.

Working at Atmosfair

As a non-profit GmbH in one of the richest countries in the world with a broad range of technical solutions and knowledge, and access to largely free higher education, we are privileged. This comes with a responsibility towards our donors and other funders, but above all towards the people in the Global South, to whom this does not apply, who have contributed far less to climate change than we have and who are already experiencing it existentially today. Working at Atmosfair also means being aware of this privilege and mission and aligning one's goals and perspectives in work accordingly.
