Financing and Funding Management Officer (m/f/d)

The German Red Cross has been helping people in Germany and worldwide for over 150 years, promoting humanity and social support.

In the Financing and Funding Management team, you ensure that projects funded by public funds and donations are reliably managed and accounted for. You will work closely with various departments, contributing to the successful implementation of vital social projects.

• Review and advise on cost and financing plans

• Prepare and monitor project settlements

• Examine statements from sponsors for submission to funding agencies

• Create and update forwarding contracts in collaboration with the legal department

• Distribute funds to sponsors

• Work closely with specialists, funding agencies, and sponsors

• Support year-end closing tasks

• Participate in annual financial planning

• You enjoy working with numbers and are interested in project management

• You have completed commercial or equivalent training

• You actively contribute new ideas to improve processes

• You enjoy communication and teamwork

• Experience with publicly funded or donation-based projects is an advantage

• Knowledge of accounting is helpful

• You work carefully, responsibly, and independently

• You organize your tasks systematically and maintain an overview

• You are proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel
