Laboratory Technician for Wastewater Analysis (m/f/d) - Temporary

In our accredited lab, we analyse 63,000 water samples annually from waterworks, wastewater treatment plants, and the pipe network, processing the data to ensure the highest water quality.

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct sampling at the wastewater treatment plants of Berliner Wasserbetriebe in both accredited (including as per DIN 38402-A 11, DIN EN ISO 5667) and non-accredited areas, on process water treatment plants and in watercourses

• Carry out on-site analyses and check online sensors to determine the fundamental operating parameters of wastewater treatment plants to support processes

• Create a comprehensive documentation of sampling according to DIN/Accreditation

• Operate, maintain, service, commission, and parameterise mobile measuring devices (e.g., pH, conductivity)

• Perform separator inspections and maintenance

• Conduct sample transportation, route, and work planning
  
  

Your Profile:

• Qualification as a specialist in wastewater technology

• Alternatively: qualification as a laboratory technician, supply and waste management technician, or specialist in pipe, canal, and industrial services with comprehensive knowledge of wastewater technology

• Experience in laboratory work and analysis

• Knowledge of DIN standards for wastewater sampling and sample preservation

• Experience in executing (wastewater) sampling

• Class B driving licence

• Teamwork skills, organisational skills, communication skills, and a friendly demeanour

Compensation:

We offer a remuneration according to pay group 6 of the Tarifvertrag Versorgungsbetriebe (TV-V). Depending on your personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group is also possible.
