Media Relations Manager (m/w/d)

Do you love football and have extensive experience in journalism or PR? In Borussia Dortmund's Communication Directorate, you will manage media work around the BVB professionals and help reach fans worldwide—via the website, BVB app, press releases, and social media channels with over 90 million followers. We are looking for you as soon as possible in a full-time role (40 hours per week).

• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on media appointments, especially for the BVB professionals, and support the women's and youth teams

• Prepare communication for match days, be present on match days, and provide follow-up

• Create and coordinate press releases, statements, and internal and external briefings

• Monitor daily media coverage of players and officials of the club

• Maintain and expand your network of national and international journalists

• Organize and oversee players and officials at media-related appointments and events

• Support the department head with strategic and conceptual matters

• Completed degree in communication, journalism, media, PR, or a comparable qualification

• Extensive, multi-year professional experience in journalism or PR, ideally in sports

• Proven experience in handling the media professionally and in challenging communication situations

• Strong sense for relevant topics, media-friendly storytelling, and public impact

• Great enthusiasm for football, especially for Borussia Dortmund and our values

• Willingness to work on weekends and match days, extending beyond just BVB professionals

• Ability to think strategically with a clear focus on the club's interests and public impact

• Loyalty, resilience, and reliability, even under pressure and with changing demands

• Discretion, skill in resolving conflicts, and confident public presence

• Excellent German and English language skills with a polished style; additional languages are a plus
