Accountant (m/f/d) IFRS / HGB

Europcar Mobility Group is a major provider of mobility and car rental services in Europe. The company offers customers various mobility solutions, such as cars and vans for short or long-term use.

An IFRS / HGB Accountant is sought in Hamburg for a full-time, permanent position, focusing on monthly, semi-annual, and annual closings, working with different departments and supporting process improvements.

• Responsibility for closing activities for monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements of German entities

• Preparation and support of IFRS reporting packages and HGB annual financial statements

• Ongoing responsibility for the financial statements of a German company

• Management of specific balance sheet items across multiple entities

• Monitoring and supporting accounting activities in the international Shared Service Center

• Ensuring high quality standards in accounting

• Close cooperation with Controlling, Treasury, and Tax departments

• Point of contact for auditors

• Participation in projects for process improvement and efficiency

• Successfully completed further training as an accountant or a business degree with a focus on accounting and tax

• Proven experience with financial statements

• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting principles

• Ideally, experience in an international environment

• Proficiency with financial accounting systems

• Ideally, practical experience with Oracle Finance

• High affinity for numbers and strong analytical skills

• Structured and solution-oriented approach to work

• Team spirit and effective collaboration across departments

• Fluent in German and very good knowledge of English
