Description
Revolutionise medical technology with us! CAD Designer SolidWorks with extensive manufacturing and production experience (m/f/d) Location: Erlangen Employment type: Full-time Start Date: Immediately About us: The X-ray system of the future Forget everything you know about cumbersome, slow X-ray devices. At Stretta Imaging, we are developing the next generation: multi-focus X-ray tubes based on the latest nanotechnology. Our patented technology makes industrial imaging faster, sharper, and digitally controllable in medicine and security technology. This is where you come in: to advance our product and component development, we need your CAD talent and SolidWorks expertise!
Your Mission (What you will work on)
- Design the products: You will work with 3D-CAD Design SolidWorks Edition Pro and be directly involved in the construction and development of our components in a high-vacuum environment. You will create mechanical and thermal simulations of components and parts.
- Find solutions: You are directly involved in technical discussions with internal teams as well as external manufacturers and suppliers. Your CAD knowledge is crucial! You identify, analyse, and define the industrial requirements for manufacturing processes and appropriate tools to achieve production goals — precisely, smartly, and agilely!
- Optimise processes: You develop an optimal product manufacturing structure, define material flows and throughput times, and shape the entire build process. You are also in charge of supply chain organisation for "your" designs/components and continuously engage with suppliers to avoid delays and costly rework.
Your Profile (What you bring)
- The foundation: A degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, and relevant experience in the manufacturing environment of complex machines. You have in-depth knowledge of common manufacturing and assembly processes (MAIT) and methods for production process control.
- SolidWorks expertise: You have several years of experience with SolidWorks and possess solid material knowledge in metals, plastics, and ceramic materials.
- The add-ons: Experience in X-ray tube production is desirable; good knowledge of developing medical electrical devices is an advantage, and knowledge of analogue and digital circuit technology and EMC aspects is helpful.
Relevant experience in
- Mindset: You work systematically, goal-oriented, and are eager to shape in an agile start-up environment rather than just working through rigid processes.
- Teamplay: You communicate openly and are excited to be part of an international, scientifically oriented team.
What we offer you (Why Stretta?)
- Real Impact: You have the opportunity to work on a genuine world first that will revolutionise medical diagnostics and safety.
- Start-up vibe & security: Quick decision-making processes, flat hierarchies, and the dynamics of a burgeoning start-up — combined with a future-oriented, crisis-proof market.
- Grow together: An international, highly competent team that thoroughly integrates you, and a pleasant work atmosphere where your ideas truly matter.
- Top location: Work in the heart of the medical technology region Erlangen.
