In wastewater drainage, we ensure the removal of sewage and rainwater from the entire Berlin city area to the treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, pressure pipes, and pumping stations.
Description
What you will move with us
Management of the operation, maintenance, and repair of wastewater pumping stations in the region
Facility responsibility through legally compliant organisation, commissioning, and execution of expert inspections for all mandatory pump facilities
Ensuring the economical operation of the pumping stations in compliance with legal requirements
Evaluation of fault analyses and preparation of optimisation proposals for pumping station operations
Development of technical-hydraulic calculations
Creation and adjustment of maintenance plans
Development and registration of major construction and investment measures
Professional guidance for technical-operational colleagues
Preparation of investment and performance planning measures
Requirements
What you bring with you
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Construction, or Civil Engineering with a specialisation in Urban Water Management, along with extensive knowledge relevant to the role
Alternatively: Technician in Mechanical or Process Engineering with extensive knowledge relevant to the role and additional skills equivalent to a Bachelor’s level understanding
Excellent project management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of operational processes, facilities, and assets for wastewater disposal from hydraulic, mechanical, and operational perspectives
Strong business management knowledge
Experience in planning, construction supervision, and execution of maintenance and construction measures
Knowledge of construction law (VOB, VOL, HOAI, BGB), environmental protection, and occupational safety
Knowledge of the Water Resources Act and the respective state legislation
Experience with system-related specialist software such as SAP, UBI Wastewater, California Pro, PI Vision, Process Control Technology, Quentic, Qlik Sense
Driver’s license class B
Solution-oriented mindset, communication skills, time, process and project management competence, and teamwork ability
Required driving license

Remuneration
We offer a salary according to pay group 11 of the Collective Agreement for Public Utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may also be possible.
