Intro

Borussia Dortmund is a globally renowned football club and a company with over 900 employees. In the youth performance centre, you'll support young players to improve their performance and stay healthy.

Description

  • Plan, organise, and conduct performance diagnostic tests for teams U17 to U23

  • Ensure clear processes and high quality across all tests

  • Prepare, conduct, and evaluate test days and individual tests

  • Test strength, speed, jump performance, flexibility, and endurance

  • Coordinate appointments and procedures with players, coaches, the athletic training team, and the medical team

  • Implement individual training sessions in the fitness room and on the pitch

  • Accompany players in daily training and ensure clean and proper execution

  • Work closely with the Performance Management and the teams' athletic trainers

  • Exchange information regularly with all key areas

Requirements

  • Completed degree in sports science, exercise physiology, or a similar qualification

  • Good knowledge and practical experience in performance diagnostics

  • Experience with tests on strength, speed, endurance, jump performance, and flexibility

  • Experience in individual athletic training, ideally in youth elite sports

  • Additional licences are beneficial, such as a DFB or DOSB athletic trainer licence

  • Good understanding of biomechanics and the physical foundations of performance capability

  • Knowledge of new training methods and current developments in competitive sports

  • Ability to recognise the personal needs of players and adapt training plans accordingly

  • Good communication, empathy, and social skills

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends

  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

  • Enthusiasm for Borussia Dortmund and enjoyment of team work
