Landfill Worker (m/w/d)

We are seeking you for the Waste Management Stuttgart (AWS) of the state capital Stuttgart for our landfill in Stuttgart-Hedelfingen. The position is to be filled on a permanent basis.

AWS employs around 1,000 staff at the Stöckach headquarters and various operational sites throughout the city. Our main tasks include collecting and transporting waste, street cleaning, winter services, and the central municipal fleet management. We also run a mineral landfill, several recycling centres, and have our own workshop. The position is assigned to the department of Waste Disposal and Operational Facilities in the Landfills section.

• Your tasks will include operating various construction machines (e.g., excavators, wheel loaders, and bulldozers) and trucks for the installation of mineral waste and performing landfill-specific earth and roadworks.

• You carry out green area maintenance and cleaning tasks on the landfill site using various power-driven tools.

• Your duties also include conducting operational and functional checks on installations, vehicles, and machines.

• You control incoming waste, accept deliveries, weigh vehicles, and manage payment transactions at the cash desk.

• Additionally, you will be responsible for inspection and monitoring tasks as well as green space maintenance at the Erbachtal landfill outside the Stuttgart city area.
